Un rioja y dos vinos de Jerez se han alzado con tres de los 30 Wine Trophies concedidos por The International Wine & Spirit Competition. Este concurso, que se celebra en Londres desde hace algo más de 50 años, concede ese galardón únicamente a las elaboraciones que han cautivado a los jueces y se han clasificado como las mejores en su categoría.
Francia, Alemania y Hungría han sido algunos de los países más destacados. Los vinos espumosos y los generosos están entre los que más puestos han logrado. Estos son los tres vinos españoles que han merecido un trofeo en la edición 2020:

A step back in time with this traditional style, allowing the American oak to bring out the complex typicity of coconut, toast and mature undergrowth. The harmony between oak, fruit and acidity makes a wine jam-packed with intensity and ripeness.
- Emilio Lustau Oloroso VORS NV Jerez
Wonderfully expressive on the nose, with zesty orange peel and sweet roasted hazelnuts; clean, dry saline notes contrast brilliantly against sweet dried dates, overripe figs and candied walnuts. Altogether, tremendously intense and vital, with a long, persistent finish.

An enduring nose highlighting the big aromas of vanilla, dried fruits, roasted hazelnuts and coffee beans. Rich and compelling on the palate with a smorgasbord of cooked exotic fruits all delectably seasoned with a pinch of sea salt. Divinely memorable.
